Join in, cheer on – you’re always welcome! ;)
During course time, parents (or accompanying persons) are present in the swimming facility. Please note that street clothing is not allowed in the pool areas. Dress code: swimwear or summer clothing with flip-flops.
In the “Little SW!MM Heroes” course, parents are actively involved from lesson 1 to 6. They are in the water together with their children. This approach helps teach movement patterns and positions that can be practiced at home until the next session.
Our beginner and advanced courses take place exclusively in official children’s teaching pools. The water temperature is consistently between 29 and 31°C.At the end of the advanced courses, we swim short distances in a 25-meter pool. In these pools, the water temperature is between 25 and 27°C.
In case of illness (cold, fever, gastrointestinal infections, etc.), please inform us in advance by email or phone if you or your child cannot attend the lesson.
This allows us to fill the spot with a “make-up child”.If a space becomes available in another course session, you are welcome to join.
In addition, we will provide you with exercises (“homework”) to help make up for missed content.
Yes!
Sometimes, due to illness, spots in our SW!MM courses become available at short notice, giving you the opportunity to join later.
In this case, the course fee will be reduced according to the sessions already completed.
Demonstrating exercises, providing support, and ensuring safety – when learning to swim, some physical contact cannot always be avoided. However, we always ensure a respectful approach and keep physical contact to an absolute minimum.
All SW!MM coaches are carefully selected and work exclusively with a valid, enhanced background check.
So you can feel confident and at ease when your child joins us in the water.
SW!MM Academy only launched in March 2024!
We are currently building our SW!MM coach team with the best trainers in order to offer daily courses in the future.
We place great importance on proper professional training.Weekend-course instructors without in-depth qualifications are not part of our team.
Our courses will also be offered in additional swimming pools across Munich.
We are in close ongoing contact with SWM, as our next key challenge is securing sufficient lane availability for training times.
In short: we’re working on it!
As a swim school with DOSB (German Olympic Sports Confederation) / DSV (German Swimming Federation) qualified management and a sustainable course concept, we meet the requirements for partial reimbursement of course fees by most health insurance providers.
The amount of reimbursement varies depending on the insurance provider. We therefore recommend checking directly with your health insurance company.
In most cases, you will need to submit the following:
A personalized invoice with the child’s nameA certificate of completion
Both documents are provided by us in every group course.
We prepare you for all swimming tests – with us or with the lifeguard at the pool!
Whether Seepferdchen, Bronze, Silver, or Gold.Depending on the course, you will learn everything required for the respective certificate. For Seepferdchen, for example:
Swim 25 meters in one stroke (usually backstroke at the beginning)Jump into the water from the pool edgeRetrieve a ring from underwaterWater safety rules
The examination fee, including badge and certificate, is €5.00.
Important note:
Unlike other swim schools, we only award certificates if all required tasks have been successfully completed. We believe it is not helpful – neither for children nor parents – to award safety-related certificates without meeting the requirements.
If a child does not complete the requirements by the end of a course, the test can of course be taken at any time with us afterwards.
Absolutely!
In our SW!MM ADULTS program, we support adults in becoming faster, safer, and more relaxed in the water – whether you are a beginner, returning swimmer, or overcoming a fear of water.
With modern methods, clear structure, and individual coaching, we create an environment where you can achieve fast and lasting progress.
