How can I or my child register for the SW!MM course?

Registration is available online via our "SW!MM Courses" booking page. Unfortunately, telephone registrations or advance reservations are not possible.

After registration you will receive a confirmation email and an invoice with all payment information.

Question 2

What do I need to bring to the SW!MM course?

Accepted Answer

For SW!MM training, you'll need swim trunks or a swimsuit, beach shoes, and your favorite towel. Please leave any buoyancy aids (waistbands, belts, etc.) at home.
We provide you with all the necessary training materials for our teaching units.

What is included in the course price?

The costs for our SW!MM courses are made up of many different items: - Rental for swimming lanes or teaching pools
- Insurance fees - Preparation and follow-up coaches
- Entrance fees coaches
- Travel expenses and payment of coaches
- Training equipment
- elaborate conception and development of unique SW!MM Academy training plans and AI stories!!!

Question 4

What do parents do during the SW!MM lesson?

Parents (or accompanying adults) must be present at the pool during the course. Please note that street clothes are not permitted. Dress code: either swimwear or summer outfits with flip-flops. Parents are actively involved in the "Little SW!MM Heroes" course from lessons 1 to 4. Parents are in the water with their children. The idea is to teach movement sequences and positions that can be practiced at home until the next lesson.

Wie hoch ist die Wassertemperatur in den Kursbecken?

Unsere Anfänger- und Fortgeschrittenenkurse finden ausschließlich in offiziellen Kinderlehrschwimmbecken statt. Die Wassertemperatur liegt dabei immer zwischen 29 und 31 Grad.

Am Ende der Fortgeschrittenenkurse schwimmen wir kurze Strecken auf der 25m-Bahn. In diesen Becken ist das Wasser 25 bis 27 Grad warm.

What do I do if I get sick?

A broken leg, a ruptured eardrum—there are many reasons why you might have to drop out of a course. If you want to protect yourself financially, you can do so with course cancellation insurance.
Further information can be found in the FAQ section "Course Insurance".

In case of short-term illnesses (cold, fever, gastrointestinal problems, etc.), please notify us in good time that you or your child are out of school.
Unfortunately, the lesson cannot be made up, but we will be happy to provide you with homework to catch up on what you missed!

Question 7

Can I join an ongoing SW!MM course later?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Sometimes, due to illness, spots in our SW!MM courses become available at short notice, and you have the option to register later.

In this case, the course price will be reduced by the number of units already completed.

Question 8

Child protection at the SW!MM Academy

Accepted Answer

Explaining exercises, providing assistance, and securing—physical contact is unavoidable when learning to swim. We always ensure respectful interaction and keep contact to a minimum.
All SW!MM coaches are hand-picked and work with us exclusively with a current, extended criminal record.

So you can send your child into the water with us with a good feeling!

Why does the SW!MM ACADEMY offer so few courses?

The SW!MM Academy only launched in March 2024! We are currently building our SW!MM coaching team with the best trainers so that we can offer daily courses in the future. The courses will then also be held at other swimming pools in Munich.
We're currently in close contact with SWM because this is our next bottleneck: available water times for lanes we can rent. In short: We're on it!

Wie funktioniert die Kostenübernahme durch die Krankenkasse?

Als Schwimmschule mit DOSB (Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund) / DSV (Deutscher Schwimmverband) -qualifizierter Leitung und einem nachhaltigen Kurskonzept, erfüllen wir für die meisten Krankenkassen die notwendige Voraussetzung einer anteiligen Kostenübernahme der Kursgebühr.
Die Höhe der Übernahme variiert je nach Versicherer. Fragt deshalb am besten gleich bei Eurer Versicherung an. In der Regel müsst Ihr folgendes einreichen:

- personalisierte Rechnung mit Namen des Kindes
- Abschlusszertifikat

Beides bekommt Ihr von uns in jedem Gruppenkurs.

Does the SW!MM ACADEMY also offer official swimming badges?

We'll get you ready for all your exams, whether with us or with the lifeguard! Whether it's Seahorse, Pirate, Bronze, Silver, or Gold.
Depending on the course, you'll learn everything you need to know. For example, with the Seahorse course, this includes:
- Swim 25 meters in one stroke (initially mostly backstroke)
- Jump from the edge of the pool into the water
- Ring appear

The examination fee including patch and certificate is 10.00 EUR.
